FestiGram: Dates and Days

Festivals run on the schedule, and once a scheduled has been announced and entered into FestiGram, you can see it on each Day page.
Sign in to FestiGram to follow along.

You can get to the Date Detail screen from the Festival Detail page, see this post for directions. Make sure to use Coachella 2019 and not 2020, at least until 2020 has been scheduled.

Here is the 2019 Coachella schedule for Friday:

Pick any day to view the schedule for that day. Before getting into the details of the schedule: this is not the schedule intended for use at a festival. There is a separate section of the app called Live that is designed for at the festival. This schedule is intended for before/after the festival.

The colors here are a placeholder for now. I am working on a theming system that will enable setting up your own color scheme and sharing them, but for now this is the way it works:

Colors use a stoplight system:
Red: Bad (rating 1-2)
Yellow: Ok (rating 3)
Green: Good (rating 4-5)

Gray means FestiGram has no data on that artist.
Where do the colors come from?

  1. If you rated the set, it shows your rating of the set. (This is not possible before the festival. Please do not hack the database and rate sets that have not yet occured.)
  2. If you rated the artist associated with the set, or any other set played by the artist, it shows the average of all those ratings.
  3. If anyone has rated the set, it shows the average of all those ratings.
  4. If anyone has rated the artist, or any set by the artist, it shows the average of all those ratings.

I know this is not a good way to group the ratings into colors, but it does include the information I think is important, and it will allow for a lot of flexibility in the theming system.
